Michael F. Hartman Born: January 7, 1950 Died: July 15, 2024 Michael Hartman was born January 7, 1950, and was the oldest son of William L. Hartman and Ruth (Butterbaugh) Hartman. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School, class of '68, and his Mounder pride ran deep. After graduation, he proudly served his country in the US Army from 1969 to 1971 in Vietnam. After returning home from Vietnam, he farmed, and sold lubricants for Cen-pe-co Oil and later, Schaeffer Oil. He later worked for IDOT, performing various jobs like plowing snow and erecting road signs. He married, and was preceded in death by, Susan Campbell, and together they had 7 children that they raised on their farm west of Mt. Morris. Mike's proudest achievement is that all 7 of his children grew up loving and serving Jesus Christ. Mike enjoyed working with engines. He went to trade school to become a diesel mechanic. He loved tractor pulling, drag racing, and Fords. He had all different kinds of tractors over the years. L
