Richard Kaufman Born: September 30, 1958 in Savanna, IL Died: July 10, 2024 in Thomson, IL Richard "Rip" Lee Kaufman, 65, of Thomson, gained his new heavenly legs on July 10, 2024, at MercyOne in Clinton, IA surrounded by his loving family. A visitation will be held July 20th from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Law Jones Funeral Home in Thomson, IL, with a service to begin at 12:00 p.m. and burial at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL to follow. Rich was born in Savanna, IL to Lyle and Irene Kaufman on September 30, 1958. Rich grew up in Thomson, where he attended school and graduated with the Thomson High School class of 1976. After high school, Rich worked in the roofing and siding business for about 10 years with his uncles, before working for the United States Postal Service where he eventually retired from in 2017. One thing that Richard took pride in was being a father to his three children, Ryan, Kayla, and Brandon. Rich also enjoyed spending time being "Bumpa" to his four grandchildren. O
